Draftsman/Quality Control & Inspection:
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Draftsman with a strong background in mechanical engineering, and solid experience in creating precise technical drawings, models, and schematics, contributing to the development of innovative mechanical solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and models while also supporting quality control activities throughout our engineering, production, and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications, materials, and finished products.
Drafting and Engineering:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans using SOLIDWORKS software based on engineering designs and specifications.
- Support R&D activities by developing drawings, 3D models and design components.
- Develop detailed drawings for fans, modules, assemblies & mechanical components.
- Modify existing drawings as needed, incorporating changes in design and updating as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify technical details and ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards.
- Review engineering sketches, drawings, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and assist in the preparation of technical documents.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to company, industry, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions and document changes.
Quality Control & Inspection:
- Inspect incoming materials, components, and finished products against drawings, specifications, packing slips, and quality requirements.
- Perform visual and basic functional inspections and identify, document, and report defects, damages, or discrepancies.
- Verify products, materials, quantities, and specifications during production, picking, and prior to shipment.
- Ensure non-conforming materials are properly identified, segregated, and labeled according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records and assist with implementing and improving quality control procedures.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in SOLIDWORKS (2D and 3D).
- Experience with other CAD software (e.g., Autocad, Inventor) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, technical standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in mechanical or industrial drafting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings.
- Assist with equipment layouts and general arrangement drawings.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
